As Founder & Director of Pro-Latam, Roberto A. Arrucha promotes foreign direct investment and business expansion across Mexico, Spain and Latin America, connecting companies, startups and investors with high-potential markets. He also leads the Latin American Leaders Awards, recognizing public- and private-sector leaders in economic and sustainable development.
A strategic and results-oriented business development leader with over 15 years of international experience at the intersection of education, technology, and entrepreneurship. Born in Veracruz, Mexico, Roberto holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and an MBA. His global perspective was shaped by living and working in over 10 countries across 4 continents, including India, Vietnam, Kenya, and Rwanda.
Since 2015, he has been based in Vienna, Austria, where he has collaborated with dozens of public and private sector organizations to design and execute international events and educational programs. He is the first Latin American to become a professor at the PCTE Group of Institutes (recognized as the top business school in India) and to receive the 'Contribution to Development' award from 1MillionStartups in collaboration with the Austrian Ministry of Economy. In 2018, the Regional Academy of the United Nations recognized him as one of the most 'Fascinating' entrepreneurs. Roberto is also a member of the network of highly qualified Mexicans in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria).
